Membership Terms & Conditions

These Terms keep BASCOMM a trusted community of professionals of good standing. You must accept them to apply for membership. Version 2026-06.

1. About BASCOMM Membership

  • BASCOMM (Bali Sales & Marketing Community) is a professional community for sales, marketing, revenue and hospitality-industry practitioners based in or working with Bali.
  • Membership is personal and non-transferable. A membership application is a request, not a right: every application is reviewed and must be approved by the BASCOMM Admin before member benefits are activated.
  • BASCOMM may request additional information or verification (e.g. company affiliation, professional role) before approving an application, and may decline an application without stating a reason.

2. Eligibility and accurate information

  • You must be at least 18 years old and actively working in, or professionally connected to, the sales, marketing, hospitality, tourism or related industries.
  • All information you provide (name, company, position, contact details, photo) must be true, current and complete. Impersonating another person or company, or using a false identity, is strictly prohibited.
  • You must keep your profile up to date and inform BASCOMM if you change company or role.

3. Good standing and conduct

  • BASCOMM members are expected to be individuals of good standing and integrity. By applying you declare that you are not currently involved in, under investigation for, or convicted of any criminal offence, fraud, corruption, money laundering, harassment or other conduct that could harm the community or its reputation.
  • Members must treat other members, partners, speakers, venue staff and the committee with respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, hate speech, sexual misconduct or abusive behaviour of any kind—online or at events—will not be tolerated.
  • Members must not use BASCOMM, its events, member directory, WhatsApp groups or other channels for spam, unsolicited mass solicitation, multi-level-marketing recruitment, political or religious campaigning, or any unlawful purpose.
  • Member-only materials (presentations, photos, statistics, Excel/PDF reports, contact details) are provided for members' own professional use and may not be resold, scraped or redistributed publicly without written permission from BASCOMM and the content owner.

4. Events, payments and tickets

  • Event registrations are subject to seat availability and the payment rules shown at checkout. Payment proof must be uploaded within the stated deadline, otherwise the registration is cancelled automatically.
  • Paid tickets are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled by BASCOMM. Tickets are personal and may only be transferred with the committee's consent.
  • BASCOMM may photograph or record events. By attending, you consent to the reasonable use of such photos/videos for BASCOMM's community documentation and promotion.

5. Vacancies and member content

  • Job vacancies and other content posted by members must be genuine, lawful, non-discriminatory and posted with the authority of the hiring company. BASCOMM reviews submissions but is not responsible for the accuracy of member-posted content.
  • You retain ownership of the content you submit but grant BASCOMM a non-exclusive licence to display it within the BASCOMM platform and channels.

6. Data and privacy

  • BASCOMM processes your personal data (identity, contact, company, attendance history, payment proofs) to operate the community, verify membership, issue tickets/certificates and send community updates. Data is not sold to third parties.
  • Applicant contact details on vacancies and member statistics downloads are visible to logged-in approved members only. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

7. Suspension and termination of membership

  • BASCOMM reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or permanently terminate a membership—without refund of any fees—if a member breaches these Terms, provides false information, or behaves in a way that damages the community, its partners or its reputation.
  • DISCLAIMER: BASCOMM has the right to immediately terminate the membership of any member who is involved in, and proven to have committed, a criminal act (tindak pidana)—including but not limited to fraud, theft, embezzlement, corruption, violence, sexual offences, narcotics offences or any offence established by a court decision or credible evidence. Terminated members may be barred from future events and re-application.
  • BASCOMM may also remove a member's content, revoke tickets, certificates or downloads, and inform relevant partners where reasonably necessary to protect the community.
  • Members may resign at any time by contacting the committee. Outstanding obligations (e.g. unpaid event fees) remain due.

8. Liability

  • BASCOMM is a voluntary professional community. Events, materials and statistics (including data compiled from BPS) are provided "as is" for information and networking purposes. BASCOMM does not guarantee business outcomes and is not liable for indirect losses, or for the actions of members, partners or venues.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable Indonesian law.

9. Changes and governing law

  • BASCOMM may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the membership after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced to members.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will first be resolved amicably with the BASCOMM committee in Bali.
